Bangalore: It was in 1977 that Voyager, a non-human performer in the sky left earth and leapt to the solar circle for investigation into the solar system. The American space research institution NASA arranged this trip in which a trained human being could never reach the edge of our solar circle.
The speed of this shooting voyager in space was 10 lakh kilometers per hour, but the windspeed will be zero when solar circle is reached. The voyager will study the solar atmosphere and conditions of life by going round the sun.
There were 3 spaceships (one and twins) that went up from earth in the sky towards the sun in 1977. One went north and the other to the south by nuclear power fuel thrusts. They have travelled for 33 years relentlessly now.
One of them was faster at 38,000 miles an hour to the other’s at 35,000 mph. The first one may cross the solar circle. The solar sphere emits fast moving winds at 16 lakh km. They weaken on the periphery and reach zero speed! In such area, the voyager is moving these days, say NASA scientists, tracking the pioneering space machine.
