Udupi: The educational hub of Manipal can now boast of a new art gallery. Vrakshakala’s –The Art Gallery was inaugurated at Benaka Tower in Manipal on July 25, Wednesday by Sandhya S Pai, Managing Editor of Taranga weekly. The function was inaugurated by entrepreneur Pramod Madhwaraj.

In her address, Sandhya Pai said art is something that enlivens minds and hearts and hoped the new art gallery would throw up opportunities to various artists to exhibit their talents.

Dr. Ni Ballal, Managing Trustee of Ambalapady Sri Janardhana Mahakali Temple, P Narendra Nayak, the Proprietor of the Art Gallery; artist Ganjeefa Raghupathi Bhat; K. Laxman Bhat; Srinath Manipal; Venki Palimar; Ravi Hirebettu; Gururaj Sanil and others were present on the occasion.
