Udupi : A woman lost her life while four others including her husband and two little children sustained injuries when the wall of their house came crashing down at Yelagoli in Shivapura village of Karkala on August 5, Monday night.

The woman who died is Poornima (25). Her husband Sunder and sister Pushpa were critically injured. Poornima’s children Yashwanth (6) and  Yakshith (4) suffered minor injuries. Her  one year old child which was in the cradle was safe. Sunder’s brother-in-law Yogish who was sleeping in the verandah too was lucky.

The two seriously injured have been admitted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore. The deceased Poornima worked in a local petrol bunk with Pushpa.

Hebri police have registered a case.
