Mangaluru: The water supply to Mangalore city will remain interrupted since one of the two pipes supplying water to the city from Thumbay broke near Adyar on Tuesday night.

Mayor Harinath has assured that the repair works will be completed at the earliest and the water supply will be restored.

However it may be recalled that the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) took nearly 5 days to repair a pipeline when posed with a similar problem last year.

Currently water supply to Mangaladevi Bolar, Shakthinagar, Hampanakatta, Bondel and Kavoor areas remain affected.
