Mangaluru : Police officials are on strict vigil at various places in the city and are ensuring only those who are travelling with a genuine purpose for medical or other emergency needs are allowed for Weekend curfew imposed by the administration .

Schools and colleges have remained closed while temples are also closed for devotees during the curfew period.

Grocery shops, milk booths, shops selling fruits, vegetables and meat are allowed to operate apart from other emergency services related firms.

Schools and colleges are closed on Saturday. Only examinations that were already scheduled are allowed to be held. Strict surveillance has been imposed at check posts in border areas of both districts.

In city some buses running in between Weekend Curfew in the district.  Police have been tightened checking in city.
