Mangaluru :  Large number of people flocked to buy the essential commodities on Friday May 7 morning as the restriction to buy essentials only from 6 am to 9 am,

The district administration has initiated strict measures beginning from May 7th in the wake of the rising Covid cases. Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar and the DCPs visited various places in the city to monitor the situation.

The district administration has already announced complete weekend lockdown will be imposed on Saturday and Sunday.

Police personnel were seen on various roads of the city ensuring no one stepped out unnecessarily. The district administration at a meeting held on Thursday evening had decided to initiate strict curbs.
