Mangalore : A team of officials led by the Weights and Measurement Department officer MP Ganesh raided several prestigious outlets in Mangalore including malls  and registered as many as 22 cases with regard to products which weighed less than the actual weight mentioned in the packs. Nearly five branded products had weighed less. The raids took place on August 22,Wednesday.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Saldanha Stores owner  who runs a grocery shop in Kankanady market had drawn the attention of the media that some wheat flour packets weighed less than the actual weight mentioned in the packets.

It is learnt, the raid was conducted  on More outlets and Spar Hypermarket among other outlets.
