Mangaluru : White Doves NGO, will present street shows for four days from December 11 as a prelude to Christmas celebrations in Mangaluru.
Speaking at press club here on Tuesday Dec 09, Corrine Rasquinha founder and president of White Doves, said that the shows, heralding the arrival of Christmas, will bring together over 135 artistes from various backgrounds. The free shows will last for one and a half hour.
The NGO, engaged in helping destitute and running two homes in the city with about 115 residents belonging to different castes and religion, will present the street plays titled “2014 year old fact in a mobile act”.
Ms. Rasquinha said the play with live music this year will feature the life of a saint, birth of Christ and Christmas scenes on a 100 ft. long stage.
The first show will be held at Fr. Muller’s Ground on Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by United Balem Mission Jubilee Church Ground, Udupi on Friday at 6.30 p.m., at St. Francis Xavier School Grounds, Kolalgiri on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. and two shows will be held on Sunday one at Nehru Maidan at 6 p.m. and the other at Padua School Grounds, at 8 p.m.
