Mangalore : Ronald Anil Fernandes, Bureau chief of Deccan Herald  inauguarted the Book exhibition cum sale organized by Harvard P U College in association with Prisms Bangalore and Biblio’s, Mangalore at Harvard P U College, Mannagudda on Dec 14, Friday.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Ronald Anil Fernandes, Bureau chief of Deccan Herald said that earlier we used to not get books and the people used to go in search of books to increase their knowledge. But today we get books in the door step in the mobile library, colleges and city libraries and the reading population has been decreased.

He also said that everyone must read books and increase their knowledge. It is not necessary that the knowledge must be gained by reading research and philosophy books, but it can be even increased by reading simple comic and small story book.

Dr Shivasharan Shetty, MD of Namma TV welcomed the guests and gathering. Palli Prabhakar Shetty, administrator of the college proposed vote of thanks. English lecturer Ranjan compered the programme.

College Principal Dr Kishore Kumar Rai, Sheni was present on the dais.

A wide range of books from LKG to all level are displayed at the exhibition.
