Bangalore : Former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa , on May 19, Saturday launched a direct scathing attack on senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar stating that the latter has kept national and state BJP leaders in his clutches and was indulging in politics within his own fortress.
Speaking to reporters at his new public contact office at Malleshwaram on May 19, Saturday, Yeddyurappa expressed his displeasure over the attitude of BJP leaders of both the centre and the state. At the same time Yeddy reiterated that he will not quit BJP for any reason, nor will join the Congress or any other party. Neither will I float any new party, he added.
Yeddyurappa said he was neglected in the party and blamed Ananthkumar for the same. He further said that the BJP has distanced itself from several men of stature including Jaswanth Singh and Arun Shaurie and even Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who is praised even by foreign nations and media for the progress registered by Gujarat under his tenure.
