Mangalore: Former Puttur MLA Shakuntala Shetty is still undecided on her political future. If the  visit of State JD(S) Chief HD Kumaraswamy to her residence at Puttur a couple of months ago created ripples in DK politics,  since then rumours have been afloat that Shetty may well join the JD(S). But, so far she has not made her stance clear.

But, if present rumours are to be believed, Shakuntala may well join the JD(S) along with Halady Srinivas Shetty, the former MLA of Kundapur.

When Kumaraswamy addressed press at a private residence on Monday evening, Shakuntala Shetty gained attention by her presence at the venue. When enquired by some media men, she said it was her relative’s house and said there was no question of joining the JD(S).

However, Kumaraswamy while speaking hoped the two would take a favourable decision very soon. He said Shakuntala was like his sister while Halady had a very good opinion regarding his family.
