Mangaluru: The Department of General Surgery, Father Muller Medical College, conducted “Venkat Rao Memorial PG Quiz 2018” for postgraduate students recently.

Students from six medical colleges in and around Mangaluru consisting of 33 teams participated in the quiz.

The first prize was won by Dr Varun Khullar and Dr Thombare Piyush Ramesh, KVG Medical College,
Sullia.

The second prize was won by Dr Raksha R and Dr Surabhi K, KS Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte.

The third prize was won by Dr Sonali and Dr Basila, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Deralakatte.

The quiz consisted of a preliminary selection round followed by a final quiz of five rounds with the top five teams.

The final quiz included major and minor case, viva-voce rounds, gammath (fun) rounds, clinical ward, surgery (operative videos) buzzer rounds.
