Karkala :  A lone woman living at Kerthadi in Ayyappa Nagar in Kukkandoor village have brutally murdered on Sunday.

The deceased is Florine D’Souza (54), wife of Antony D’Souza.

As the couple were said to be not in good terms, they were living separately for the last three years.

Florine was running a gym training centre near the bus stand. It is said that she had a difference of opinion with her business partner.

The incident came to light when her relatives arrived at her home on Sunday. The door was found open and Florine was lying in a pool of blood on the floor. She had been stabbed to death.

The couple have two sons aged 20 and 16 years old, but they were not staying with her.

Udupi SP Laxman Nimbargi visited the spot. Fingerprint experts and a dog squad were pressed into service. Karkala Town police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
