Udupi: A woman lost her life and her husband and daughter sustained grievous injuries when the bike which they were riding was hit by a tempo from the rear near Lakshmindranagar in Manipal on October 14, Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Anitha resident of  Kukkuje – Doderangadi near Perdoor  Her husband Dayananda and daughter Divya have been hospitalized. Anitha died on the spot.

The tempo driver has fled the scene of the accident. Manipal police have registered a case.
