Udupi : A woman died on the spot after a lorry hit her at Brahmavar Junction on Saturday, September 22.

The deceased identified as Geetha (36), is a resident of  Hiriadka, and staying at Hangarkatte after her marriage.

It is said,  Geetha was crossing the road, with her husband Subramanya and a child.  Her husband carried the child.

A bus suddenly entered the highway and the same time lorry driver turned his vehicle and he hit the road divider first and then Geetha, resulting in her death.

Sources said, Geetha was following Subramanya, he reached the other side of the road, with the child and Geetha was still crossing the road. At that time, a lorry hit her and she died instantly.

Brahmavar police have registered a case.
