Mangalore : Vanitha, a housewife from Uleppady, Purunjigudde in Mangalore taluk came across as a tired woman resting in one of the beds at the Government Lady Goschen Hospital here on Saturday. She had all the reason to be so, for just 24 hours ago, Vanitha joined a list of select few women who have given birth to triplets. Her triple bundle of joy kept Vanitha company at the bedside as she recovered from the delivery blues.

Wife of Prabhakar, who works in a restaurant at Ullal, Vanitha already has Pranamya, a three-year-old daughter. Nature however worked in its own mysterious way to grant this couple three children – all boys in her second pregnancy. The infants came out none too worse for Vanitha – weighing in at a healthy 2.4-kgs, 2.2-kgs and 1.9-kgs respectively, leaving her with a sense of relief and also a sense of trepidation at her future.
