Mangaluru: Barke police have arrested a woman for carrying ganja inside the jail, on Monday.

Ishrat (29) is the arrested woman. She was carrying ganja to deliver it to her husband Abdussalam who is in jail.

She went to jail on Monday morning with a packet of breakfast and ganja hidden in it. When police stopped her and checked the items, they found ganja inside the breakfast packet.

Soon the woman was arrested and produced before the court. Court has ordered for judicial custody till September 9.

Abdussalam is in for theft cases registered at Puttur and Kundapur police station.
