Puttur: A married woman allegedly committed suicide with her child by jumping into a pond at Mudoor, Puttur taluk.

Vedavathi (26) is the deceased woman and Manish (2) was her child. Vedavathi had married to Sathish Poojary three years ago.

After coming back from toilet Satish went to sleep, but Vedavati haven’t returned back with her child. The family members searched for both of them and finally found Vedavathi’s mobile phone near pond.

Upon searching for the bodies, both the bodies were found in the pond. The reason behind the suicide is not yet discovered.
