Mangalore: Bajpe Police arrested one Azharuddin on Friday, on the charge of molesting a married woman in his neighborhood on Thursday at Ganjimutt in her house, and hunting her in the attempt.
It is said that he went to her, asking for some vegetables but attacked her as she was alone and banged her head against the wall in a tussle. The woman is the mother of a baby.
The police searching for him in Kukkatte, later waited for him as he re-entered his house stealthily. On Friday he was in a shop in Yedapadavu where he was caught, and led by ACP Puttamadaiah and Panambur CI Valentine D’Souza; besides SI Anant Murdeshwar. CPC Seemanth Kumar guided the police team. DCPs Muthuraya and Dharamiah were also helpful.
