Mangaluru: A woman was saved by a man, while a thief tried to snatch the chain and her mobile, on Sunday.

Seema is the woman was saved by B K Harris. Seema was walking beside the road near Mini Vidhan Soudha in the city and suddenly a chain snatcher tried to snatch her chain along with the mobile.

Upon hearing the screaming of Seema Harris ran for help and caught the thief at railway station road. The thief was submitted to the Pandeshwar police station.

Locals are alleging that a gang is involved in chain snatching case and more than ten such incidents have been witnessed by the locals.

Pandeshwara police have expressed their gratitude to Harris for his bravery.
