Bangalore: A grisly murder a married woman, for gold/Jewellery items, was enacted in Annapurneshwari Nagar near Mudalpalya here on Wednesday noon.

Suvarnamma was alone at home husband Nagaraj and two children had left for work or school police who came the scene later found her dead, barbarously hit by miscreants on the neck and ears. A gold chain and ornaments were missing.

The lady had cried out for help. When neighbors entered the house the murder was done and killed had fled. Her brother had come at 10 in morning and gone away after taking food as usual, from the sister. She fought alone before her death.

DCP of western division S.N. Siddaramappa informed Pressmen that huge amounts kept in a almirah, coasting lakhs of rupees, were left untouched by the robbers.

Joint commissioner (crimes) Prananav Mohanty also visited the crime site. Vijayanagar police have registered a case, before proceeding.
