Udupi: Demanding the Central government to issue white paper on demonetisation, district women Congress staged stir in front of DC office on Monday.

Addressing the protestors Udupi district Women Congress President Veronica Carnelio said that PM Modi has looted the poor people’s money by demonetisation. It has created an economic crisis in the country.

“Demonetisation has taken lives of innocent people. It has refuted the poor people to withdraw their own money from the bank. Rich are not at all affected by demonetisation, but it is the poor who are suffering from it,” she said.

She further demanded the Central government to issue white paper on demonetisation she said it was a decision taken in hurry. Even after 50 days of demonetisation many people are not being able to get their money. So, the government must issue white paper on it.

Vice-President Jyothi Hebbar said that people of the country has realised the truth of demonetisation after hearing PM Modi’s speech on December 31. He must apologise to the people for causing inconvenience to them.

Women Congress leaders Laxmi Bhat, Gopi Nayak, Mamatha Shetty, Roshni Olivera anf others were present.
