Bantwal: “Women should utilise the governmental schemes to be empowered economically by doing organised business,” said Bantwal taluk panchayat President Chandrahas Karkera.
He was speaking after inaugurating fruit processing training and distribution of jasmine plant programme organised by agricultural department, ZP, and women and children empowerment department on Wednesday.
“Women should involve themselves in various productive works, which will lead them to be economically empowered. Will power is the only way to get empowered,” he said.
ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty said that if fruits are grown along with eating anyone can live a healthier life and will also get empowered economically.
TP Vice-President Abbas Ali, TP Member Mallika Shetty, resource person Sumana Murthy, Agricultural department Deputy Director Yogesh H R and others were present.
