Mangalore : A Women’s Vocational Training Centre set up at Bolur at a cost of Rs 9 lakhs with aid from the Legislator’s grants of MLA and Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat, was inaugurated on March 12, Tuesday. The Centre has been opened under the aegis of the Bolur Mogaveera Gram Sabha and Mogaveera Mahila Mandala.
The centre was inaugurated by Bharathi Jagadish Bolur, Director of Yojaka India.
Presiding over the function, N Yogish Bhat said already various programmes have been initiated towards empowering youth and to develop tourism.
He said the works of the suspension bridge and upgradation of Ladygoschen Hospital are also being taken up on on a priority basis.
The completion of suspension bridge would promote tourism in Bolur village, he said.
Shivaji Mendon, Owner of Mangalore Minerals, Manohar Bolar, Managing Trustee of Sri Mariamma Temple, Urva, Rajashekhar, President of Bolur Mogaveera Sabha, Hema Shanker, President of Bolur Mogaveera Mahila Mandala and others were present.
