Mangalore : It was a sea of RSS volunteers at Kenjar near Bajpe on February 3, Sunday when thousands of RSS volunteers from various parts of DK, Udupi, Kasargod and Kodagu converted for the Vibhag Sanghik of the RSS.
The RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the mammoth gathering in Hindi and his speech was translated into Kannada by Sudhir.
In his address, Bhagwat spoke in length about the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and how the RSS was working towards realizing the dreams of Swami Vivekananda, He said the Vibagh Sanghik was organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and urged the RSS workers to work towards achieving the vision of Swami Vivekananda.
He said Swami Vivekananda considered Bharath Matha supreme and added so was the RSS which worshipped Bharat Matha before commencing any programme.
He refuted some reports that the RSS had organised the Vibagh Sanghik as a show of strength and clarified that there was no necessity for the RSS to show off its strength as its works and sacrifices reveal everything. He said “Swami Vivekananda had toured the entire country on foot, understood its culture and way of life, experienced its essence through meditation and pondered over how it could restore its lost glory.”
Stating that Swami Vivekananda has urged people to face any problems boldly and not to get bogged down by any situation. Bhagwat also urged RSS workers to fight problems in the society boldly. “ Where there is service, there is no arrogance,” he said. “We pray to god to bless the country with virtues of selflessness, knowledge and much more. We ask god to give us strength to serve the nation all our life. RSS prayer is a summary of the vision of Vivekananda for this country,” he said.
