Mangalore: Speaking at the congregation of Ulemas (teachers) and representatives from several Mosque societies at a DK dt. level workshop for office-bearers of various mosques, organised by KS Minorities Commission at Zeenath Bakhsh Yateemkhana (guest house) in city on Saturday, Ullal’s assistant Qazi, AFK Thangal Koora said that the societies are the basic units of Muslim social structure, and their progress is interconnected. He asked the delegates to work for the development of Jamaath and Muslim society, and there should be consensus and unity in both.
The religion of Islam prohibited egoism, selfishness and negative characters in human society, to advance towards social unity.
Commission Chairman Anwar Manippady made introductory remarks and presided over the programme. Mangalore qazi T.A.Musliyar prayed. Additional DC Prabhakar Sharma, AC Prabhuling Kavalikatti, Secretary Atheek Ahmed among others were present.
