Mangalore: DK deputy Commissioner Dr.N.S.Chennappa Gowda asked the medical profession to give up its present professional commercialism, as everyone did not get equal treatment in hospital services. The doctors had to exhibit more of human concern towards all patients he stressed.
Gowda was addressing a workshop on “Relief and attention” devised by Fr. Muller’s Hospital in its auditorium proper medical treatment to rural patients from city doctors.
Dr.Laveena Naronha of Vamanjoor Ave Maria Medical Care unit acted as a resource person, and provided suitable information to participants of the workshop. Fr.Richard Coelho presided on the occasion.
Fr.Dennis D’Sa introduced the guests. Dr.B.S.Pai and Ileen Mathias were present. Dean Dr.J.P.Alva welcomed the gathering. Organiser of the workshop, Dr.Naveen Rudolph Rodrigues proposed a vote of thanks.
