Mangalore : World Blood Donors’ Day was observed at KMC on June 14, Friday by organizing a blood donation camp. DC N Prakash inaugurated the camp and stressed the need for blood donation that can save many lives.

District Health Officer Dr R Sreerangappa and  Medical superintendent Dr Madhusudan Upadya, were also present.

KMC Hospital Blood Bank is the first Blood Bank in Karnataka to be accredited by NABH. The Blood Bank offers round the clock services  and all blood collected through donation is checked for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis & Malaria.
