Mangalore:  Bunts  Sangha, Mumbai will be holding the World Bunts Day on April 14 at Buntara Bhavan Mumbai to coinicide with the Tuluva new year Bisu Parba.

Informing this to reporters at AB Shetty Hall on March 20, Wednesday, Shankar B Shetty, Mumbai Bunts Sangha President, said the association has a history of 88 years and has several noteworthy achievements to its credit.

He informed that Bollywood actresses Aishwarya Rai and Shilpa Shetty will be the special guests at the convention.

The event will also feature a variety of programmes including industrial exhibition  and an exhibition cum sale of sarees and diamonds.

He also informed that a variety of cultural programmes will be held. He said the Sangha would raise Rs one crore and distribute it to needy students of the community who wish to go in for higher studies.

Presidents of over 100 Bunt organizations will take part, he informed.

Ajith Kumar Rai and Amarnath Shetty also spoke on the occasion. General Secretary CA Sadashiv B Shetty, Vice President Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Treasurer CA Sathish N Shetty and others were present.
