Mangalore: The Association of British Scholars, Mangalore Chapter, Pilikula Regional Science Centre Society, St. Aloysius P.U College, and Bellimandala Film Society jointly organized a programme for youth to observe the ‘World Environment Day’ on Monday, June 6.
Speaking after inaugurating the occasion,  Dr Vijaykumar, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Mangalore briefed on the impact of global warming and role individual to bring down earth’s temperature.
Dr K C Shet, President, Association of British Scholars, Mangalore Chapter, presided over the function. Dr S M Shivprakash, Secretary of the Association after welcomed the gathering.
After the programmes, the organization screened the award winning environmental films like ‘The man who stopped the desert’, ‘Wild: The cord gardener’ and ‘The water village’.
Dr K V Rao of Pilikula Regional Science Centre Society Mangalore, Prof John D’Silva, Principal of St. Aloysius PU College, Mangalore and Dr C K Manjunath were present.
