New York: The world’s shortest woman visited New York City on Wednesday.
Jyoti Amge, 19, took in the view from atop the city’s 2nd tallest building, the Empire State Building.
She was in town to promote the 2014 edition of the Guinness World Record’s book.
“The Guinness Book of World Records has given me the opportunity to travel the world and I’ve become very popular and very famous,” said Amge in Hindi through translator Denish Govindani.
Guinness spokesman Stuart Claxton was on hand to record Amge’s height with a tape measure.
She is just two feet and half an inch tall and wears clothes that usually fit toddlers.
Amge also visited the Statue of Liberty while in town.
She’s appeared in two Bollywood films so far, but after she finishes college, says she’s got her eye on California.
“I want to enter into the world of Hollywood that is now my target my goal right now I’m studying in the 12th grade I’m studying arts so whenever I have free time when I have my exams I do study a lot and I want to excel in everything so that is the target which I’m keeping right now in my mind,” Amge.
Amge hails from Nagpur, India.
She’s so small, they were able to print her picture in ‘actual size’ in the new edition of Guinness World Records.
