Kasargod : In a shocking incident reported from Kasargod, worms were found in chocolates purchased from a bakery at Melaparamba on November 13, Tuesday.
That the chocolates under the brand name Flashbag were sub-standard came to the notice when a two year old child Fasal Rehman who ate it began to vomit. When parents inspected the chocolate,worms were found it in. There was no detail of the date or place of chocolate manufacture in its wrapper.
MT Anup Kumar, Food Inspector of Kasargod Circle said a trader of Tirur in Malappuram had distributed the chocolate to dealers. He also felt that the cashew, almonds in the chocolate might have attracted the worms.
