Thiruvananthapuram : In the past there had been instances of worms found in chocolates and  dead snake in juice pack. Now, it seems to be the turn of something else. A Kentucky Fried chicken outlet here  was closed down by the Food Safety authorities after a worm was found in the chicken curry purchased by a customer.

The action against the outlet of the multinational restaurant chain came after the complaint was lodged by the customer an NRI named Shaiju who had made the purchase on Sunday.

The outlet was raided by the authorities when it came to light that stale food was found and the outlet has been ordered closure temporarily.

Shaiju had come to the restaurant along with his wife son and two relatives when he found the worms. Samples of the food has been seized and further action would be on the basis of the results.
