Mangalore: The Bangalore-based Karnataka Photonews Agency has chosen coastal natural light photographer of 40 years, Yajneshwar Achrya, also known as ‘Yajna’ only, for the T.S. Satyan Memorial Award for 2011, which carries Rs.10,000 and a citation with it.

The award presentation is fixed as on 18-12-2011 at the Raj Bhawan(Governor’s House) at Bangalore by 11-15AM. The award is given by the Governor himself.

Yajna’s Camera shots have been regularly published in several newspapers and magazines of India.  T.S. Satyan was and eminent photographer known all over India for many years before he died.
