Bantwal : A well known Yakshagana artiste Gangadhar Shetty Navoor passed away due to cardiac arrest on Monday July 31.

He was in Bappanadu Yakshgana Mela and had taken a leave on Monday morning. He returned to a rented house. Gangadhar Shetty collapsed on the floor when nobody in the house. Later his colleagues shifted him to the government hospital, but he was declared dead.

Gangadhar Shetty’s eyes were donated by his family members, as per his wish.
