Mangalore : Yakshanandana, the English Yakshagana troupe founded by the late PV Aithal, an avid Yakshagana admirers, has successfully presented several English Yakshagana plays which have been much appreciated by the audience. After PV Aithal’s demise his sons Dr P Satyamurthy Aithal and Dr P Santosh Aithal have been promoting Yakshanandana.
Already, English Yakshaganas ‘Mahisha Mardini’ and ‘Lavansure-LavaKusha’ have won much commendation. On July 2, at Town Hall the Yaksha Nandana will be presenting a English Yakshagnaa ‘Sampoorna Devi Mahatme’ comprising Medhini Nirmana, Mahisha Mardini and Shambhavi Nilaya of P Santosh Aithal. The show will be held from 2.30 pm to 9.45 pm.
A function to be held between 7 pm to 7.30 pm will be blessed by Narasimha Tantri of Sri Kshetra Kudupu. N Ganesh Rao, Chairman of Karavali Group of Colleges, will preside over the function. ML Samaga, President of Karnataka Bayalata Yakshagana Academy, Bangalore and Kumble Sridhar Rao, senior Yakshagana artiste, will be the chief guests.
