Bangalore: Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa who came down heavily on chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda at a Veerashaiva Convention at Bangalore on May 13, Sunday, at the same time sang praises of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
In his address, Yeddyurappa said Sonia’s words were ultimate in the party and that she would rush to the aid of any distressed leader unlike in the BJP where partymen themselves pull each other’s legs. “I am a standing witness to this,” he added.
Meanwhile, reacting to Yeddy’s comments on the Congress, senior Congress leader RV Deshpande has thanked Yeddy for his words of praise for the Congress.
