Bangalore: EX-CM bookanakere Yeddyurappa has applied for interim bail for Diwali festival, and the state High Court has told him that it would decide on the matter only on October 24, a day earlier.
Both jail-birds, Yeddyurappa and Krishnaiah, had been denied bail earlier in the denotification of land case before them. Both were remanded to jail, after a trip to hospitals for treatment.
The single judge court had heard all arguments for and against granting interim bail. But they have to wait till next Monday on minor relief, such as interim bail for Diwali at home.
In cell no.5 at the Bangalore Central Jail, Yeddyurappa got up at 6-15 AM on Sunday and went out walking, but he was told by the Jail authorities to do the Siva-linga worship in his cell only.
He was reading books received from friends on Saranas(devotees of Siva). While having cold, the BJP leader had refused all the medical tests, but the Jailor appears to have made a pact on Blood test, with Yeddy today.
