Bangalore: Having sworn in public that he would never speak against the state Governor again but keep quiet, CM Yeddyurappa flew against UPA Govt’s Home minister on Tuesday and May 26 today, he took JDS supremo HD Devegowda to task and tore him to pieces in Bagalkot district, at Banahatti in Jamkhandi Taluk (known to B.D Jatti years ago).
CM hit out at Devegowda on Wednesday, saying that Gowda cannot shake him or his chair as he had people, God and MLAs to support (CM). He was then laying the foundation stone for a drinking water project at a cost of Rs.17.18 crores, for the local people. At Mahalingapuram, he transferred the keys to ‘Asare’ homes, to poor families. He also distributed “ownership” documents under Vajapayee “Ashraya” Plan to beneficiaries. Devegowda, never left any leader in peace so far, CM said, from Ramakrishna Hegde to SR Bommai and others, he lashed out. CM also took PM to task for his slackness in coal and 2G Spectrum deals.
