New Delhi: A meeting in stated to have been arranged between CM Yeddyurappa and other BJP leaders to discuss land scams and the question of Yeddyurappa leaving his post in the lights of arguments that took place for 3 hours, but there was no decision taken. The discussions took place at BJP national President Nitin Gadkari’s residence, in view of the opposition parties’ demand for CM’s ouster.
A decision is expected to be taken by the BJP Central leader by mutual consultations, Jaiteley told reports waiting outside that he would tell them when a decision is taken one way or the other.
The core group decided only to hear Karnataka CM and other senior party leaders first and then proceed to take their own decision, as to whether CM should be changed or not.
Meanwhile, on Thursday (Nov.18) the state govt decided to go into a probe by a retired SC Judge of all land deals in and around Bangalore from 1994 awards. Yeddyurappa got vacated all the residential and commercial lands allotted to several relatives before he went to New Delhi to meet Nitin Gadkari.
Party sources say that CM Yeddyurappa will not be replaced, as he was the most popular BJP leader in Karnataka. CM would be asked to be more transparent’ in his financial and property deals here after. The options for a change of leadership are not easy and not opportune a leader said.
