Haveri : Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa announced that he will commence his rath yatra in the second week of October to highlight the achievements, developmental works and welfare schemes that were initiated under his chief ministership by touring the state for three months.
Speaking with mediapersons after inaugurating Sri Hangal Kumar Swamiji’s Dasoha Bhavan on Virkatmath Hangal premises here on Sunday, Yeddyurappa said that he will hold meetings with BJP MLAs, MLCs and MPs along with party leaders on October 8 in Bangalore. Terming the Lokayukta report as erroneous, Yeddyurappa alleged that in a previous Lokayukta report, former CM Dharam Singh’s name was mentioned, but in final report his name disappeared.
“But my name figured in the final report also,” Yeddyurappa asserted.
Expressing full confidence that the court will grant him bail on October 3, the former chief minister said, “I have full faith in the judicial system of the state. I have not committed any mistakes when I was Chief Minister of Karnataka. All this is a conspiracy to tarnish my name and that of the BJP government in Karnataka.”
Public Works Department & District Minister C M Udasi, Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Haveri MP Shivakumar Udasi, MLA Nehru Olekar and MLC Shivaraj Sajjanar were also present.
