Mangalore: Deputy Speaker N Yogish Bhat has proposed a 46 point programme and has requested the chief minister to include the same in the state budget.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister Bhat has proposed a housing project for economically weaker section and suggested that a total of 10 lakh houses should be constructed under the scheme.
He has even requested the Chief Minister to chalk out a health insurance scheme for all citizens and name it as Vajpayee Comprehensive Health Cover Project.
Other projects proposed are Mono rail between Bangalore-Mysore, Hubli and Dharwad, between Mangalore-Udupi-Kundapur, special scheme to provide three additional LPG cylinders, an underground tunnel highway on Mangalore-Bangalore sector.
The projects for Mangalore proposed include a district administration complex, housing complex for government staff and a Ranga Mandir.
