Mangaluru: A young bike rider and a pedestrian were killed when a two-wheeler hit a divider after knocking down the pedestrian at Honnakatte near Suratkal on November 12, Monday.

The deceased are Akshay (24) of Kuttar Subhash Nagar and Narayana Kulal (27) of Honnakatte. Akshay was heading towards Mangaluru in his bike when tragedy struck. Narayana Kulal was crossing the road when the bike hit him and then rammed into the divider.

If Narayana Kulal died on the spot, a critically injured Akshay breathed his last in the hospital.
