Puttur: In a tragic accident which took place at Golithottu, Puttur on Saturday, a young man lost his after a lorry collided with the jeep in which he was travelling.

Chidananda Acharya (31) is the deceased person. He was working at a jewellery shop at Nelyadi.

Lorry which was plying towards Mangaluru hit the jeep which was travelling towards Nelyadi from Uppinangady. Six others in the jeep has been injured and they have been admitted in hospital.

Puttur traffic police have registered a case.
