Mangalore : A young pair  reportedly attempted suicide on the railway track  near Pandeshwar on July 12, Friday. They were found unconscious and were said to have injured themselves with a sharp object after consuming poison.

 They were found on the track close by Karuna lodge at Old Kent Road and informed that they had come to Mangalore from Chennai on July 11, Thursday night. The reason for them taking this extreme step is not known.

The two have been admitted to hospital. Pandeshwar police are conducting investigations.
