Udupi: In a gloomy incident a young policeman lost his life in a road mishap on Monday at Kajaraguttu.

Shamanoor Bashamulla (26) of Beelagi taluk, Bagalkot is the deceased policeman. He was riding his bike and when he reached kajaraguttu, a bus collided with his bike and he was thrown on the road. Due to the major head injury he lost his life.

As soon as the accident took place he was taken to a private hospital, where they declared him as dead.

Shamanoor was serving at Hiriyadka police station.
