Mangalore : A 29 year old woman was detained along with her family including husband and their four year old son for smuggling gold. They had arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai.

The DRI sleuths intercepted the family on suspicion. Later  it was found that the woman had hidden gold biscuits and chains all weighing about  2 kg wrapped in the undergarments worn by her.

Those detained are  Arshad Ali Mushtaq Ahmed (30) from Bhatkal, his wife Fathima Nasreen (29) and their four-year-old son.

Investigations are under progress.
