Mangaluru : A youth assaulted an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and police constable of Mulki police station.

The youth Ansar who assaulted cops arrested.

It is said, On Wednesday April 7, the ASI went to serve a notice in a case to Ansar. Ansar along with the other four accused assaulted and attempted to murder the complainant and other police officials.

The accused tried to escape by injuring and keeping a lady in his custody.

Other accused are identified as Sadik, resident of Ligapayyakadu (father), Jubaida, resident of Lingapayakadu, and Mamthaz, a resident of Lingapayakadu.

The arrested is booked under 353,332, 307amd 34 of IPC. He is sent to judicial custody.
