Mangalore  : On October 1, Tuesday, police have arrested a student named Vikesh on the charges of raping a minor girl since a year. Police are searching another accused, also a student, who was part of the crime.

Police said the girl was an eighth standard student in a local school and  that the boys were her relatives and that they had threatened to kill her if she divulged the matter to anyone.

The girl’s mother who noticed some change in her daughter’s behavior enquired her when the incident came to light. A complaint was then lodged in Mangalore Rural Police Station limits.
