Kasargod : A murder accused found brutally murdered and the head of the victim, severed from the body, was found a short distance from the crime spot at Kumble here on Sunday April 30.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Salam (32) from Peruvad in Kumble. His accomplice Naushad, a resident of Badriyanagar, was found grievously injured and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru

The murder took place in a deserted spot near Melangara Kote in Kumble.

The deceased Abdul Salam was an accused in th case of murder of Shafique (25), son of Kumble GP member Peral Ahmed in 2014.

Police sources said that personal enmity was behind the murder.
